Principle and Application Analysis of RD and Supporting Infection Control Technologies for Respiratory and Anesthesia Equipment

Ventilators and anesthesia machines are core medical devices for perioperative management and critical care treatment. Centering on equipment research and development as well as supporting infection control technologies, the Clean Technology Factory of SHINVA Medical has continuously promoted technical research and iterative product implementation in this field.

In terms of core component innovation, SHINVA Medical has obtained an invention patent for a valve structure and anesthesia equipment. Featuring a quickly detachable APL valve structure, this technology solves the long-standing disinfection and maintenance challenges caused by the integrated design of valves and breathing circuits in traditional equipment. The patented design integrates the APL valve core, valve base and movable adjusting components into a unified assembly, which is detachably connected to the circuit panel through a mounting base. Operators can remove the entire APL valve from the breathing circuit simply by unscrewing the fastening nut, realizing complete separation of the valve from the circuit system.

The detachable structure enables targeted and independent disinfection of the APL valve, avoiding deformation and aging of the valve core caused by overall circuit disinfection, while supporting thorough and comprehensive disinfection of the breathing circuit. In terms of pressure control performance, the integrated assembly of the valve core and base minimizes fitting errors. The compression amount of the valve core spring can be precisely adjusted via thread matching, allowing anesthesiologists to accurately set the pressure limit value. Meanwhile, the modular design supports independent replacement of individual components, effectively reducing equipment maintenance difficulty and operational costs.

In terms of supporting infection control technologies, the internal breathing circuits of ventilators and anesthesia machines are in direct contact with patients’ respiratory tracts and are highly susceptible to the breeding of pathogenic microorganisms. Traditional manual disassembly and immersion disinfection methods feature cumbersome operation and residual contamination risks. To address these pain points, SHINVA Medical has independently developed a dedicated circuit disinfection machine for anesthesia machines and ventilators. The equipment consists of an ozone generator, atomization device, air supply and exhaust system, and intelligent control system.

Eliminating the need for manual disassembly of medical devices, this innovative disinfection equipment obtained the Class II Medical Device Registration Certificate in July 2025, filling the registration gap in this segmented field across Shandong Province.

The coordinated development of independent equipment R&D and matched infection control technologies provides safer, more efficient and more reliable respiratory and anesthesia management support for clinical scenarios such as operating rooms and ICUs.
