Advancing Prototype Development, Nurturing Talents and Driving Improvements: Polishing Product Quality Through Lean Manufacturing
Over the past six months, SHINVA has focused on manufacturing and strengthened full-process quality control. Through new-product prototype development, skill inheritance and company-wide improvement initiatives, the company has consolidated its quality foundation and steadily elevated its manufacturing capability for rehabilitation medical devices.
Successful launch of new products serves as a core driver for industrial upgrading. Production and technical teams have jointly carried out process verification and sorted out key control points for critical working procedures. In total, process standardization for eight products has been completed, with more than 300 pages of production work instructions compiled. Special hands-on training sessions have also been organized to smoothly transition new products from prototype trial production to mass manufacturing, ensuring stable mass-production processes and controllable product quality. Within the past six months, five major products including the Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation Therapy Apparatus and Upper-lower Limb Active-passive Rehabilitation Training System have completed production transfer.

A mentor-apprentice pairing system has been implemented in the workshop. Drawing on senior employees’ rich hands-on experience and process know-how, on-site training strictly follows standard operating instructions. Core competencies such as precision assembly, accurate commissioning and quality inspection are passed down through hands-on guidance. This approach bridges gaps in job-specific skills and has cultivated a specialized production team of over ten members, guaranteeing manufacturing precision for every rehabilitation device with rigorous craftsmanship.
An all-staff quality improvement channel has been established to encourage front-line employees to submit suggestions based on their daily work. Proposals range from minor optimizations such as wiring harness layout, structural modification and fixture fabrication, to major improvements including process streamlining. Employees have put forward 69 rationalization suggestions in total, among which 45 have been implemented to date. Practical proposals originating from the production floor keep refining manufacturing details and reducing production deviations.
Thanks to these comprehensive measures, production efficiency and product quality have seen notable progress. The average production time per unit has been cut by 7 hours. A total of 113 sets of equipment have been manufactured in the past six months, and the first-article acceptance pass rate has risen by 8%.
Moving forward, the company will keep strengthening manufacturing management. Supported by standardized production, professional talent teams and refined process control, it will uphold the quality bottom-line for medical devices and fuel the company’s high-quality development with high-quality products.
